This is Schooner, a Thoroughbred gelding. He stood about 16 hands tall. I'd once read in a breed profile that there's something very special & regal about riding a Thoroughbred at a canter. I can vouch for this claim! It's just the way they carry themselves. Schooner was a really sweet horse. There was a girl who had started leasing him from Sandy, which is why I couldn't ride him anymore after a few years.
