My First Cats

These are the first cats I had. Sadly, I only have 1 or 2 photos of each, so I thought I'd put them on one page.

This is Prince. He was really my sister's cat -- but as with Princess (her dog), I thought I'd include it since he was alive when I was very young. This is the only photo we have -- it's a very old photo, with the edges cracked & torn. I had to crop it to get rid of the tears & cracks.

This is Fluffy, who really wasn't! *LOL* What can I say -- he was a fuzzy kitten! He was the neighborhood bully -- constantly getting into fights, and often coming home scratched & beat up. He was with us for many years, but not sure how long. This is the best of only 3 photos I have of him.

This is Muffin. I was in 7th or 8th grade when I got her. An announcement was made over the intercom that someone had 2 kittens that needed homes, so I asked mom. I cried when she said no, so she gave in! I picked her up in the office at the end of the school day & brought her home on the bus in a box. (I remember at one point she got her head through the small hole that was cut in the side to provide her with air & light!) I don't have many photos of her. The first is the best photo I have of her as a kitten, and the second one is the best photo I have of her as an adult. If you look closely in the second photo, you'll see that was polydactyl (extra toes) on her front paws. (She almost got the name Mittens because of that!) The trophy she has between her paws was my 1st place prize in a 3rd grade spelling bee -- I thought she'd look cute with it.

Muffin was with us long enough to have a litter of kittens! She had four, but one was stillborn. Out of her three living kittens, I only have photos of two. My mom gave them names for their temporary stay with us. The first one is Porky, and she was my favorite. (Mom gave her that name because she was the chubbiest of the three!) The second photo is Roley (as in Roley Poley) with my dog Fifi. (That's why this photo of Fifi isn't on her page!) Isn't that a precious photo? The only kitten I didn't get a photo of was Skinny. (My mom gave her that name because, obviously, she was the skinniest of the litter.)
